Originally a Publisher in the technology sector, Tom has extensive experience of running large content teams, delivering multi-touch lead generation, nurturing and syndication campaigns, working with household names in the technology, and retail and institutional investment sectors. In his current role as Director of Content and Performance Marketing Services, Tom is responsible for Incisive Works - Incisive's in-house content marketing agency. As the job title suggests, Incisive Works deliver high quality content, coupled with performance marketing approaches that ensure content visibility and marketing ROI.

Tracy Bain

Tracy has over 20 years of marketing experience within the asset management industry with a high degree of personal impact, diplomacy and credibility together with a skill set rooted in strategic marketing. Has worked at board level leading marketing strategy at 5 of the top 20 leading asset managers. A self-starter with flair, energy and initiative; coupled with experience of delivering strategic and tactical initiatives across the full geographic channel, product and marketing mix. Tracy joined RLAM in January 2014 as Head of Marketing she joined from F&C Asset Management where she was Group Head of Marketing. Prior to this, Tracy was Head of Marketing at SWIP and AXA Investment Managers and worked within marketing for Newton Investment Management.

Prior to joining Natixis Sam was Head of Advertising, Sponsorship and Promotion at Candriam where he developed the first world's first free-to-access accredited training platform for sustainable and responsible investing - The Candriam Academy.

Rebecca Christensen

Rebecca Christensen is an award-winning communications expert with over 15 years' experience across blue chip and start-up companies. Currently marketing director at the lang cat, Rebecca was part of the early team at Nucleus where she was responsible for creating their communications, brand and culture. With a 6-year stint as a self-employed sales and marketing consultant Rebecca was named as one of the top 100 small businesses in the UK in 2015. During this time she helped female small business owners grow their businesses by focussing on strategy, developing their propositions and improving their communications. Rebecca was also part of the media relations team that handled the successful floatation of Standard Life in 2006.

Josh Dibbens

Josh Dibbens is Head of UK Marketing at BlackRock. He is responsible for leading the marketing strategy and activation across the UK market. The key goal of this region is to drive scaled distribution of BlackRock and iShares funds through digital, campaign and events strategy using insights and data.

Prior to his current role, Josh spent 2.5 years working on the iShares business focusing on data acquisition and retention strategies and embedding CRM best practice across UK and German markets.

Before coming to BlackRock, Josh spent 8 years working at marketing and advertising agencies around London, including 4 years at Ogilvy and Mather on the global American Express business. He has over 13 years marketing experience and has worked with some of the largest worldwide brands such as Mercedes Benz, Exxon Mobil and Standard Life.

Josh has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Simon Ellis

Simon Ellis is the Global Head of Client Segments at HSBC Asset Management (AMG,) responsible for client strategy for global banks, wholesale channels and corporate pensions. His role encompasses strategy, sales, marketing, product and client service for the asset management needs of the Group's key clients globally. He is also leader of AMG's market response to MiFID 2 and Brexit, and a non-executive director. He has been in financial services for over 30 years, including spells with Henderson Global Investors, Axa Investment Managers, Fidelity and Legal and General. He has been head of retail in three of those companies, and CEO of multi-manager services in two of them, so has a very broad experience of fund distribution and key account management. Simon is a recognised industry spokesman and has been heavily involved with the UK's Investment Association over the years including having been a non-executive director of the association.

Martin Fox

Martin has had a career in financial services marketing. This has included a range of roles at Legal & General, Marketing Director at Prolific, and General Manager Marketing at Pearl Assurance.

He then became Managing Director of the strategic marketing arm of a London agency.

Today he is Managing Director of Bulletin Marketing, where he is heavily involved in the tax efficient market, including chairing the Research, Education and Marketing committee for the EIS Association.

Simon Hildrey

Simon Hildrey is Chief Marketing Officer of Liontrust. Simon joined Liontrust in July 2008 having been a financial journalist for 10 years and winning both the IMA Freelancer of the Year and AIC Freelancer of the Year Awards twice. Prior to becoming a freelance journalist in 2002, Simon was Special Correspondent at Citywire and Editor of International Financial Adviser. Simon is Chair of the IA Retail Marketing Committee, has an MA degree in War Studies from King's College London and a BA degree in Modern History and Economics from Manchester University.

Tom Hughes

Tom Hughes is the Head of Northern European Marketing at Allianz Global Investors. Tom has worked for Allianz Global Investors since 2010, where he joined as a marketing executive working in the UK retail distribution team. Since then he has worked his way up the team to his current role, where he is responsible for all marketing activity in the Northern Europe (Benelux, Nordics, UK and Ireland) across institutional, wholesale, consumer and investment trusts channels. In 2014 he was awarded a Rising Star award by the Gramercy Institute in New York and his teams were successful at the Investment Week, Investment Marketing and Innovation Awards in 2014, 2015 and 2018 in the "Under 30 Category", "Best B2B Campaign", "Best Social Media Campaign" and "Product Innovation". Prior to joining Allianz Global Investors, Tom worked for software company Meltwater and in the House of Commons. He has a degree in History and Politics from the University of Southampton as well as a full IMC, postgraduate diploma in digital marketing from the IDM and has undertaken executive education courses at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin.

Charlotte Lamb

Charlotte is an internationally-experienced marketer in asset management, with a career spanning more than 15 years. She is currently Head of Wholesale Channel Marketing for EMEA and LatAm at Janus Henderson Investors, having joined the company in March 2018.

Prior to joining Janus Henderson, Charlotte gained experience at a number of international asset management firms, beginning her career in 2002 at Capital International in London, where she held a variety of positions within the marketing function until joining M&G Investments in 2009. At M&G, Charlotte began in the Direct to Consumer team before moving to a European role, covering Southern Europe with a focus on Italy. In 2013, Charlotte joined what was then Natixis Global Asset Management to focus on the development of marketing for the UK and Italian markets. During her time there, she was instrumental in developing the channel marketing strategy for the firm in Europe.

He has worked as a consultant and coach with over 50 companies from leading multi nationals like GE Capital, Barclays and Aviva through to a range of SMEs, focussing on strategy, proposition development, communication advice and delivery. In delivering consultancy he draws on 20 years' experience in corporate management. His particular focus is the inter-relationship between strategy and communication. Fiona Mackenzie

Fiona has over 20 years' experience in the asset management industry, working across the marketing mix both direct to consumer and to UK intermediaries, as well as several large rebranding projects.

She started her career at Friends Ivory & Sime, one of the first providers of commission-paying wrappers for investment trusts, delivering campaigns for successful investment trust rollovers, VCT fund raisings and product launches and was subsequently responsible for investment trust customer acquisition at F&C. She developed and delivered the strategy for marketing F&C's risk-targeted multi-manager funds to distribution partners for several years and managed the integration and re-branding of two multi-manager ranges on F&C's acquisition of Thames River. She is currently responsible for marketing BMO's ETFs and single strategy Oeics to UK intermediaries.

Fiona holds a BCom (Hons) in Business Studies and Law from the University of Edinburgh, is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing.


Isla Mackenzie

Isla Mackenzie is a global distribution and asset management marketing leader with a career which has spanned over 18 years in the global financial services and asset management industry. Isla is currently Director, Global Marketing and External Communications at Aviva Investors.
Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Isla led UK Marketing at Aberdeen Asset Management and Institutional Marketing at Standard Life Investments where she spearheaded the development of category killer propositions and led brand, product marketing and channel development.

At Aviva Investors, Isla has played a critical role in turning around the fortunes of Aviva's investment arm by relaunching the brand and creating a multiple-award winning global marketing platform spanning brand, media relations, content marketing, digital and communications. She was named Investment Marketer of the Year in 2016 and in 2017, she took third place on the Financial Services Marketing Leaders List. Isla also made the finalist list of the Investment Woman of the Year Awards in 2017, recognizing her long-term industry contribution.

Philip Martin

Previously, he was the one of the founding directors of Nucleus Financial Group, having successfully co-run his own consultancy business, the abacus, specialising in strategic and propositional projects with a range of life company, regulatory and asset management clients. He is responsible for the development of Openwork's investment solutions and all aspects of Openwork's marketing and PR.

Kirsty Maxey



Kirsty is a strategic communications advisor, business leader, award-winning marketeer and fintech advocate. With over 20 years' experience in marketing communications. At the height of the 1980's boom she helped to market the first pet insurance, Pet Plan, in the UK before moving into publishing with The Scotsman Publications, where she launched the first Scottish Sunday newspaper, Scotland on Sunday. She then went on to set up one of the first digital marketing consultancies in Scotland advising a diverse mix of clients. In 2000, during the dotcom boom, she joined a brand new agency, Teamspirit, which is now part of the Chime Group, specialising in financial services. She works with a broad range of financial and investment clients, helping them transform their brand experience for the better.

Anne-Marie McConnon

Anne-Marie is an internationally experienced asset management marketer whose career spans more than 20 years. She is currently Chief Marketing Officer - International at BNY Mellon Investment Management.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, she held a number of senior positions at M&G Investments, including Head of Pan-European Marketing. During this time, she pioneered the launch of the first financial blog in the industry - Bond Vigilantes alongside the M&G fixed income team.

AT BNY Mellon, she has spearheaded game-changing initiatives such as the donation of the boat race sponsorship to CRUK as well as creating innovative new approaches to areas such as content marketing including creating an award-winning investment editorial team. She has recently been named Investment Week's Marketer of the year for the second time (also awarded in 2015).

Jackie Mills

Jackie Mills is a Vice President of Eaton Vance Management (International) Limited and Director of International Marketing. She is responsible for strategic marketing initiatives across all of Eaton Vance's non-US businesses, including the UK, Europe, Asia, Japan and Australia. She joined Eaton Vance in 2015.

Jackie started her career in asset management in 1995 at Fidelity Investments, Luxembourg, where she held various marketing positions until joining what was then SSB Citi in 2000. She played a large part in the rebrand to Citigroup Asset Management and the rationalisation, consolidation and rebrand of the Salomon Brothers, Smith Barney and Citibank products and business lines. In 2005, Citigroup's asset management business was acquired by Legg Mason. Jackie again held several positions at Legg Mason, latterly Head of European Marketing, where she was responsible for strategic channel marketing as well as all marketing services including digital, design, presentations, RFPs, events and content.


Caroline O'Donnell

She is a marketing communications specialist with extensive knowledge of UK wholesale and institutional channel marketing as well as direct to consumer. She spent a number of years working at an international school and also living and working in America before starting her marketing career. Kathryn graduated from Exeter University with a BA Integrated Honours in English and Theatre, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from Kingston Business School and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Henry then founded Estatecreate Group, a company that runs and invests in a range of software as a service and data businesses in the property sector.
